RIO DE JANEIRO, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Leonardo Heredia and Jose Florentin scored first-half goals as Argentina's Central Cordoba secured a 2-1 away win over Brazilian side Flamengo in their Copa Libertadores group stage match on Wednesday.

Heredia put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot at the Maracana stadium and Florentin doubled the lead by heading home after Braian Cufre's set-piece.

Uruguayan midfielder Nicolas de la Cruz reduced the deficit by curling home a free-kick on the hour but Central Cordoba defended stoically to clinch its first win of the current Libertadores campaign.

In Sao Paulo, Colombian midfielder Richard Rios netted a first-half goal to guide Palmeiras to a 1-0 home win over Cerro Porteno.

And in La Paz, Ramiro Vaca scored twice to lead Bolivar to a 3-0 home victory over Sporting Cristal.

Elsewhere in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday, Bahia won 1-0 at Nacional Montevideo and Velez Sarsfield romped to a 4-0 victory at Olimpia.
