(250912) -- BRASILIA, Sept. 12, 2025 (Xinhua) -- Justices of the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court meet for the verdict and sentencing phase of a trial over an alleged coup plot of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to seize power following his defeat in the 2022 presidential election, in Brasilia, Brazil, Sept. 11, 2025. Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was sentenced to 27 years and three months in prison on Thursday after four out of five Supreme Federal Court justices voted to convict him of attempting a coup.
