BEIJING, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chengdu Rongcheng beat Nantong Zhiyun 2-0 in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.
Brazilian striker Andrigo broke the deadlock in the 39th minute after Felipe Silva's shot had been blocked by Nantong defenders. Chengdu extended their lead in the sixth minute of injury time through a counterattack, when Zhou Dingyang sprinted half of the field to seal the win.
In the day's only other fixture, Guo Hao's fifth-minute strike lifted Tianjin Jinmen Tigers to a 1-0 win over Dalian Pro. Ba Dun's through-ball found Robert Beric in the box, and after the latter lost control as he turned and attempted to shoot, Guo collected the loose ball and sent it into an empty net.
After their defeats, Nantong and Dalian remain third and second from the bottom of the CSL standings.
