BEIJING, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- "Without the Communist Party of China (CPC), there wouldn't be the New China," Sabino Vaca Narvaja, Argentine ambassador to China, spontaneously sang the lyrics of a well-known Chinese song during a recent interview with Xinhua.

The song, which was created in 1943 to extol the CPC's care-for-the-people attitude and policies, can be heard everywhere in China.

By singing the song, the ambassador expressed his respect for the CPC and appreciation of Chinese President Xi Jinping's visions on governance and global issues.

Given the challenges that the world is currently facing, building a community with a shared future for mankind proposed by Xi is of special significance, the ambassador said.

Only through cooperation will it be possible for countries to overcome difficulties, Vaca Narvaja said.

Born in Argentina's second largest city of Cordoba, Vaca Narvaja had been devoted to China studies before he became an ambassador in 2021. He founded a research program on China-Argentina cooperation at the National University of Lanus in the South American country, and edited several books on relations between China and Argentina as well as China and Latin America.

On the ambassador's table are several books on China, among which the Spanish and English versions of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" stood out.

The inclusion of the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind in the book is of enormous importance, Vaca Narvaja said. "It seems to me a really comprehensive concept because it has a spirit of seeking a harmonious scheme and of seeking a solution together."

Expounding his understanding of the concept, Vaca Narvaja mentioned three words: harmony, diversity and future.

The multilateralism included in this concept allows "all countries to be heard, including small, large, (and) medium countries," the ambassador said.

The concept also defends the value of respecting the world's diversity, and "the future of humanity has to do with this philosophy," he stressed.

In February, Argentine President Alberto Fernandez paid a visit to China. The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on jointly promoting the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. The two sides signed cooperation documents in various fields, including infrastructure, science, technology and people-to-people exchanges.

Noting that many developing countries are facing structural problems, Vaca Narvaja said the initiatives that involve infrastructure projects to improve connectivity will help "reduce imbalances and asymmetries in development."

During the interview, Vaca Narvaja mentioned several moving stories about cooperation between Argentina and China in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting China's support for Argentina at the most challenging moments of the pandemic in the country.

In July, the ambassador visited a remote village in China's central Sichuan province and later told the Argentine people about the development of China's villages through a documentary film.

The CPC has "the welfare of the people" as its goal, a motivation that President Xi has promoted around the world, he said, stressing that the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind reflects "the fundamental purpose of the Communist Party of China: to serve the people."

Therefore, in the eyes of Vaca Narvaja, Xi is a leader who cares for not only the people of China but the people from all over the world.

In February, the ambassador participated in the meeting between Xi and Argentine President Alberto Fernandez. At the end of the session, Vaca Narvaja said in Chinese: "Without the Communist Party of China, there wouldn't be the New China." Xi responded with a smile, saying: "Well said. Thank you for your support."

"It has really been the leadership of the Communist Party of China that has led the country to prosperity," the ambassador said.
